It’s been 14 years, thousands of pages of reports and too many meetings and conversations to count — and last night the dream became reality: Valley’s Edge Specific Plan was approved by the Chico City Council!
We couldn’t have succeeded without the amazing commitment and future vision of so many local people. Thank you, Chico, for saying YES to Valley’s Edge.
We are excited and grateful that the vision of Valley’s Edge “community in a park” will become a reality for all Chicoans to enjoy. In addition to housing and other benefits, Valley’s Edge will provide the largest dedication of parkland since Bidwell Park to the city in 1905. We are proud to add to Chico’s open space for future generations.
We look forward to continued conversations as plans unfold, but for today, we simply extend our deepest thanks.
